Initial ideas

28/09/22- During the lecture we had a discussion about the facilities and equipment that will be available to us throughout this academic year which lead to the discussion of what potential ideas we have for our project. During the lecture I mind-mapped my ideas (see below) so that I could reflect and choose an idea I could work with throughout this course.

As well as this we also discussed what skills we offer to the group below is what skills were discussed.

My skills include:

• communication

• organization (especially involving group projects)

• research

• photography

• creating ideas (creativity)

• Mixed media art (more physical than digital)

After our discussion on ideas I set my self a personal brief for the module which will hopefully help me remain focused throughout the module and allow me to achieve my own personal goals as well as hitting the academic learning outcomes that will allow me to get me desired grade.

100 word brief:

My initial idea for this project is to explore the representation/identity of women. Using this topic to explore different mediums and processes to gain an understanding of the topic as well as using the time to learn about each medium and how it can be used to convey different meanings/messages.

I also want to use this time to focus on understanding different software’s that are used within the creative industries; this will not only benefit me throughout this course but will also give me skills I can use in the future. My goal is to learn these skills through a topic I’m passionate about and combine the two in the process.
