Interim show: The beginning

The chosen idea:

After brainstorming my own ideas we all came together as a group to discuss and decide on what our theme would be for the show and how we would link this one to our degree show; with so many ideas trying to narrow it down was very challenging. The fact that everyone wanted to effectively show their work and what they're about lead back to my idea of who are we and that we as students have gone through a journey/story to get to where we are today; which made me think of the story book and chapter idea which is the overarching theme for our show and our bridge between the interim and the degree show. We then needed to decide on a sub theme that could be used as the main theme for the Interim show, because the show was held in December we thought that a useful opportunity would be to use the season being Christmas as the theme. With Christmas being something that is a massive part of todays culture making it extremely popular it is an easier way to engage it with the audience because of the time of year.

Things to be done:

Now we have the initial idea there are some starting steps that need to be completed before the actual development can be made this includes; role delegation, colour schemes and concreted Christmas concept. Once these are done we can the work in our departments/smaller teams to create the Interim show.
