Professional Practice: Our Location

After lots of thought and discussion as a group we decided on our exhibition space which was not a location we originally considered. Our exhibition space is Arch 27; its not only in a great location but it offers the perfect amount of space for us to display our work. With it also being very close to the university it also makes transporting equipment easier and also makes it easier for guests to access. Another I noticed is that this location links very nicely to our last event due to the arch being a similar shape to the cathedrals architecture making our transition form the our old theme to this one very smooth. Overall, I think that this is a great space to utilize and something that will allow us to effectively promote ourselves.

With a rough idea of layout I used his time to do a rough plan of what my individual space would look like. As well as the printed work I will also have a show reel presented on a iMac with some of my other work displayed to utilize my space more effectively. I feel that displaying my work like this will allow the work to be viewed properly without it being to chaotic and yet not to simple that it just blends into the background.
