Friday meeting: On the build up to the event our lecturer (Helen), Event manager (Ellie), Creative director (Julius) and myself (Event organizer) had meeting on a Friday to manage progress and review but to also figure what needs completing the following week. During these meetings several things were discussed for example if animations were complete and if sound had the right aesthetic, what equipment would be needed or if our technological needs for the event has changed. When in these meetings I was also given jobs like everyone else some tasks/contributions I had to complete involved writing a press release, gathering everyone's information for individual profiles that would be on display, discuss options about the selfie frame with the team making it. I also had to collect all the behind the scenes footage and photography so that whoever was editing the video had all the resources they needed.

Portfolio pictures: One of the first jobs completed was the portfolio pictures. For this we wanted the same set up for all of them to give the professional feel to it but we also wanted to show personality to engage the audience. When setting up there were things that we needed to consider including, lighting, positioning and framing, background etc. all of which we used to create the profile pictures. Below are some pictures from the set up and the final outcome (which I think convey the professionalism and personality effectively). For our final picture we wanted to tie it into our theme being the Christmas/winter wonderland which is why we chose the grey background and icy light to almost give the impression of snow and a cold atmosphere.

Corporate ID/Branding: Julius and Ira created the logo and whole visual brand for our event and went through a number of trials before getting to the end result. As part of getting to the end result the group would give feedback to see which people thought was the best and what was more effective in portraying our idea/theme. Below are an image from one of the feedback discussions as well as the end result for our logo which will be and was used on social media as well as through any products involved within the event.

Measurements at location: To fully understand what space we had available we needed to measure the space, count lights and see how they work, checking fire exits and disabled access. By doing this we can be clearer on what we can do with the space and use it to our full potential. Below is a picture of when I was talking about how we could use the lights and how it could help create the immersive winter experience. This initial assessment of the space was crucial for further development as we could visualize how everything would look.
